Sup whoever's out there.....

Back again after a long couple of weeks with another update of things going on....

Yup...been pretty busy.....starting to really believe that I just wouldn't be me unless i'm swamped with stuff to work on....

Had a job fair to go to a couple of weeks ago.  Throughout my 4 years in pharmacy school, I've been really in limbo on where I wanna go.  Retail or hospital????  Towards the end, I was thinking moreso towards retail.  However, one of the things you hear about quite often is that lots of people get so fed up with retail even though they get higher pay is that they end up in hospital.  And so the question for me is.....am i one of those people?  After different experiences and thinking about things that are most likely to occur....I think I will be.  So, I had a long talk with one of the hospitals that was there for the job fair.  We talked for about an hour and I gotta say......it feels so good to think of it as a possibility.  There's always these talks about how the end of your 4th year in pharmacy school, you start to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  For the first time in life, I can say that I am really starting to see that light and I'm almost ready to embrace it.  Still a lot of things that I'm not sure about......but I can also say that it feels really good that things are starting be less uncertain.  I'm starting to see the direction in where I'm heading and I have every hope....and I pray....its where my light will guide me.

Past 6 weeks I had been working on Grand Rounds.  Basically giving a lecture on current and new treatments for any particular disease or condition.  Its been something all students have been dreading but its also I guess....a right to passage!  With intense research and writing it all up, I finally finished it and presented it this past Thursday.  My approach to it I guess was rather unique in comparison to the other presentations thus far.  My goal was to make this one interactive and entertaining for my audience and I'm happy to say I did just that!    Didn't score that A like I wanted but with a score that was pretty close?  Shooot....I'm not gonna argue and I'll take it!!  I really appreciate all the comments my peers and evaluators have given me.  Now to look forward to doing another one next semester!!  ::groan::

After a crazy week and having everything settle down.....time to do a little relaxing this weekend.  I didn't really do much.  Had dinner with 2 good friends and I went over to their place to watch a movie afterwards.  If ya haven't seen "Timeline", go check it out!  Not the greatest film but it's really not that bad!  Saturday, we went to go see "Cirque de Soleil" [recommended to me by a very special friend ;) ].  Some circus act that came from Canada I think.  Man, it was a great show!  Not your typical circus though.  No animals are nothing.  Instead these amazing people putting on a show with a certain theme/story to it.  Performances with music and amazing feats.  An incredible and spectacular show......you really owe it to yourself to check it out when it comes to your town!

Other than that, I've been here at my apartment....trying to clean things up.  Haven't really gotten much of that done....I dunno....everytime I come back here and there's not any schoolwork to be done....I just have this overwhelming sadness come over me.  I'll do stuff like play video games or pop in a movie and even go out to wash the car.....but to no avail.....its depressing.  ::sigh::  Maybe I just need to go home for a weekend or something.....i dunno....birthday is next monday.....maybe I'll go home for the weekend and celebrate there.  eeeep!  i'll be 26!!!!!

In a nutshell....that's all that really stands out for me to share..... i'm gonna call it a night.....

To the man whom I grew up playing and pretending to be when I was a kid...
To the man whom I will always think of when I hear that particular theme music...
To the man who was behind the hero I grew up cherishing.....
To the man who is a part of my childhood that I'll never forget.....

This one's for you.....

Alright...so yeah...another update.

Well, the weekend has come and pretty much gone!  What did I do??  Hmm...well...let's see.....[insert cheezy flashback sound effect and that trippy wavey haze].

Friday:
4 o'clock rollin' around.....aaah yyeah!  Get me out of here and I can go home!  Take a long ass nap and nothing too exciting at night except played FFXI until about 3 in the AM.  I'm very happy that I'm starting to have more time to play that game.  However.....I dunno....I really wanna make my character a really good one but the time it takes for me to do all that tends to get boring.    Oh well.....

Saturday:
Was supposed to go to the museum for free tai chi class in the morning but it was raining.  Don't think they're really gonna do tai chi out in the rain but I think that'd be cool!  So instead, I drove to the Honda dealer to get an oil change and worked on my grand rounds while waiting on my baby to be serviced.  On the way over there, I noticed this sign for a boxing gym!  Went to go check it out after the oil change.  Man, lemme tell yah....this place was a real hole in the wall!  Really, really ghetto and run down!  But that's ok though....sometimes the most ghetto of places got the best stuff.    Instructor wanted to show me how to shadow-box.  To which he says: "Hey, looks like you've done this before!?"  LOL -- past experience with kickboxing pays off!  Anyways, since they are open pretty much every day, seems like a pretty good place to try out because of the more flexible schedule than other places I been trying to go.  Think I might go check it out later this week!  Afterwards, went to the mall for a little....did some groceries....and rented some games and "The Last Samurai."  The rest of the day was pretty much miserable.....nothing to do.  Ended up catching "Shark Tale" by myself.....thought about going to the pool hall afterwards but....why in the hell am I gonna throw down some dollars when I know I'd be just as miserable at home?  So i just went to krispey kreme, bought a 1/2 dozen donuts, and pigged out on them and played Def Jam: Fight for NY 'til about 3 in the AM.  Yeah.....boring and miserable night.  /sigh\

Sunday:
The usual: laundry, try and clean up around the apartment, and get organized with some things.  Again...not very eventful and boring.  BLAH!  And so...we come to the end of the day....and what do i got?  Another week of the same old sh!t again.  Oh well....let's see what comes about.....

.....cheers!

JC

PS:
Holy crap!  That's the most I've ever written!
